Join us for a conversation moderated by Sarah Almehairi exploring Ziad Al Najjar's painting practice, which begins with the body as a site where space and perception are negotiated. Moving between abstraction and figuration, control and release, and the microscopic and the expansive, the discussion traces how body, nature, and the spiritual are woven together in his work.
About the series:
Artist Talks is an artist-to-artist conversation series founded by Sarah Almehairi in 2020, initially held over Zoom and now hosted in person. The series brings together creatives based in or affiliated with the UAE to discuss their practices, forming part of Almehairi's broader effort to expand cultural discourse and further connect the local art community.
