The Middle East faces an emerging health crisis due to the large and rapidly increasing burden of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, cancers and mental health disorders. This is the first conference in the region to bring together experts in areas of NCD research. The conference aims to examine the current state of NCD research in the region, share best practices, establish priorities and make recommendations for building research capacity in the region. The goal of this conference is to establish a regional NCD research network, and prioritize actions that will move efforts forward to bring the epidemic of Non-Communicable Diseases under control.

Interested scholars are encouraged to contact nyuad.programs@nyu.edu.
