The question of how individuals perceive the world is central to philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience. Recent evidence for perception and cognition in the absence of conscious awareness forces us to rethink the fundamental mental, neural, and experiential components that comprise perception. This conference brings together experts from several disciplines across NYU's global network in order to address this important and timely issue.
