The Symposium explores the limits and the potentialities of the condition of “permanent temporariness,” as with refugee camps, where tents have been transformed into concrete houses. The symposium aims to draw parallels between different conditions of impermanence and displacement that is affecting a vast number of people living as guests in host countries.
