Ras Al Khaimah is an emirate of superheroes: captains who survived shipwrecks, shipbuilders who survived lightning strikes, honey collectors who scaled mountains, and entrepreneurs who made a strange land home. This talk shares the stories behind the photo book "People of Ras Al Khaimah," a collection of the personal histories of more than 50 long-term residents and Emiratis. Through its images, we explore firsthand accounts of Gulf migration and the commonalities of the Gulf migrant experience.
