Climate adaptation is a necessary reality for countries and cities around the globe. To identify pathways for adaptation, it is essential for climate change to be understood at the regional and sub-regional scales, as it is only with this data that municipalities and other regional actors may prepare. The workshop gathers leading scientists from multiple disciplines to identify knowledge gaps, spur collaboration and exchange data. It also addresses the need for capacity building in the climate and environmental sectors at the regional and city scales, with a special emphasis on the Gulf.
